Getting a Library Card

If you reside in a county that is included in the Central Kansas Library System, then you can get a Hays library card free of charge. If you reside outside that area, there is a one-time $3 fee to get a Hays library card.

To get a card, you must come in to the library to fill out a form. You must also bring with you a photo ID and official proof of your current address (piece of mail, lease agreement, city bill, etc.) if your address is not up-to-date on your photo ID.

The Hays library card allows you to check out our materials, as well as use Sunflower eLibrary for digital ebooks and audiobooks.
