Over 50 participants submitted tasty puns such as "Read S'more Books"and "The Red Bowl of Porridge" (a clever take on the Stephen Crane classic). Other artists focused on the idea of eating an actual book, such as the "Book on Tape" with text printed on a roll of bubble gum. One of the more impressive entries featured a cake-and-cookie replica of the Hays Public Library.
