May 11-17
Join the Hays Public Library Children's Department as they celebrate the wonders of children's books during Children's Book Week, May 11 - 17. Children's Book Week offers parents, educators, and other caregivers an opportunity to help their childen develop a love of reading by guiding them to wonderful literature.
The children's department will celebrate by placing a scoop of ice cream on a cone for each book read during the week. Children will also have the opportunity to sign up for a drawing for a gift certificate to Dairy Queen. Children's Used Books Sale The Friends of the Library will hold a sale of used children's books in the story hour room (located in the Children's Department). The sale will be open Friday, May 23rd (9am to 6pm) and Saturday, May 24th (9am to 1pm). There will be a very large quantity and variety of used children's and young adult books available. |
